Workforce Go partners to support tuition-free training
Workforce Go partnered with MicroAccounting to support the Sage Foundation and their collaborative initiative with Per Scholas to provide tuition-free technology training for adults seeking careers in IT.
More than twenty students visited the Workforce Go Event Center on May 23 to participate in the on-site career experience that included:
- A site tour of the Workforce Go facilities
- Collaboration opportunities with our IT and tech experts
- Mock interviews to prepare students for real-world job applications
- Featured speakers from the industry sharing insights and experiences
“Great connections were made, and I hope this is just the start of more things to come between our organizations, as well as the others that were in attendance. In some brief conversations afterward with learners, they not only received great advice from the program but also a renewed sense of self-confidence,” said Dave Naegeli, Senior Director of Talent at Per Scholas.
Representatives from Workforce Go, MicroAccounting, and Sage led discussions with the students and answered various questions about the industry, career paths, and available options. It was a productive day for everyone, and the mock interviews were not just a favorite for the students but also a highlight for the interviewers.
